Far Fetched Productions is run by Dutch improv trainer and actress Anja Boorsma. She works as an improv teacher/director for several Dutch improv groups. Besides that, she provides corporate training and theatre with her company ImproSophie.

Anja holds a MA in Theatre Studies from the University of Amsterdam. She specialised in Culture Management and wrote her thesis on improv theatre.

Since 2004, Anja regularly visits foreign improv festivals where she meets a lot of great improvisors from all over the world. She soon decided to invite some of them to Amsterdam.

The international productions started out under the name ImproSophie Productions in 2006, and were renamed Far Fetched Productions after the successful Far Fetched Festival in June 2007.
